This project located in Webster Parish, Louisiana, included 10,000 square yards of concrete pavement break & seat and asphalt overlay. This asphalt paving project was 10 miles long, the majority of which had been previously broken & seated and overlaid with asphalt. Antigo broke those areas not broken previously.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LA DOTD) special provision “Breaking and Seating Pavement” requires that the concrete be broken to generally 24″ or smaller, with no more than 20 percent of the material larger than 24″ and no individual fragments larger than 30″ based on visual inspection of the surface.
Antigo also completed a test section of full rubblization for LA DOTD.
