Videos Rubblization 2-Lane Highways

Rubblization of 8-10″ thick, jointed plain and mesh-reinforced, concrete pavement in preparation for an asphalt overlay on Highway DW 142, e/o Szczecin, Poland, performed by Antigo International using two MHB Badger Breakers® and a Z-pattern grid roller in 2017. A layer of crushed aggregate base course was placed on the rubblized concrete prior to overlaying with asphalt. Modified rubblization with significant spalling was determined to be the appropriate degree of rubblization based on the evaluation of test sections of varying hammer drop heights and impact spacings.
